Imagery: The Huichol shaman seeks divine blessings to heal the sick and lead the tribe, consuming wind tree flowers and peyote for heightened consciousness. Spirits of deceased relatives manifest near the wind tree as bees, butterflies, birds, and rabbits. The shaman presents sacred offerings in gourd bowls to the gods and spirits. Eagles carry messages, and snakes protect the shaman from malevolent spirits.
